The items, which include boots, were presented at a ceremony held at the Councilors Office in Tallinding.
At the presentation, Ismaila Bah, treasurer of EMCCF, acknowledged the efforts of Councilor Ceesay and called on the beneficiaries to make good use of the items as the gesture is meant to complement government’s efforts in improving service delivery.
“The items meant for institutions should be aware that they are not for individual use, they should be use only for works to improve quality work at your institutions.” he said.
Amat Janha, Assistant Chief Fire Rescue Officer (a beneficiary institution), in Kanifing Municipal Council thanked the donors for the support, further pledging to make best use of the items.
“The provision of service responding to emergency is very demanding and we are glad that these organisations through the councilor are aware that we have challenges and constraints in the process. Therefore, these items will serve a long way in accomplishing our mandate.” He added.
Also speaking, Karamo Ceesay, Ward Councilor of Tallinding South, expressed his office’s resolve to continue supporting vulnerable communities and institutions for national development.
