The much-anticipated first-ever American Chicken Festival, a social family event celebrating and showcasing some of the delicious chicken delicacies, is set for Sunday 19th November 2023 at the luxurious Bamboo Village Resort, Duplex Strip, Kololi.

Brought to you by the United States Poultry and Egg Export Council and sponsored by Gamfood Trading and South Dakota Soybean Checkoff, the first of its kind event features renowned chefs and restaurants, showcasing spicy cuisines from all over the world amid maximum entertainment, from popular DJ Wonjo of Taxi FM.

Chef Bojang and his team brought home the award for best Jollof Rice at the West African Food Festival and Competition which was held in Lagos, Nigeria earlier this year. He has promised to deliver a culinary experience of which your taste buds will thank you for.

Along Chef Bojang are nine other culinary experts. Chef Jallow will be representing the famous Chef’s Corner with mouthwatering delicacies. Plass Bi will deliver an elegant array of culinary specials. Jamaica Jamaica and Mo2, both specialised in Jamaican and Caribbean cuisine, Plasta Inc Café, renowned for their spicy chicken wings, Amina’s Catering, PK Catering and Jay’s Restaurant.

Tipped as ‘a must-go’ event, the festival will encompass a diverse range of delicacies to respond to the appetite of the public.

“The chicken festival will be a family-friendly event with entertainment for all ages. For younger children, there will be bouncing castles and other fun activities. A raffle draw will be held, giving all attendees an opportunity to win exciting prizes,” said organisers.

"The American Chicken Festival" aims to be a memorable celebration of American chicken products, while fostering strong business ties between American exporters and stakeholders in The Gambia. This event will not only delight attendees with mouthwatering chicken dishes but also showcase the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships in the food industry. We believe that through this festival, we can strengthen trade relations, promote high-quality poultry and egg exports, and create a lasting impression of American chicken in The Gambia's culinary landscape.”

The public is urged to come see and taste the difference. Remember, it is all happening on Sunday 19th November 2023 at the luxurious Bamboo Village Resort, Duplex Strip, Kololi. See you all at Bamboo!
