It also seeks to initiate dialogue between Turkish investors, the African Union (AU), and regional economic communities in order to reinforce investment ties between Türkiye and Africa.
The theme for the 2025 edition is “Leveraging Türkiye-Africa Relations for Mutual Gains.” Strategic sectors to be prioritised during the forum include agriculture and food, renewable energy, transport and logistics, construction and contracting, mining, automotive, textile, defence industry, and digital technologies.
The forum will also feature thematic sessions, presentations, government-to-business (G2B) and business-to-business, (B2B) meetings, and provide sector-specific perspectives.
Shortly before his departure, Janko thanked the management of The Point newspaper for nominating him to participate in such an important international forum.
The trip, he added, would hone his skills and experience especially on the international scene.
He is expected to join other journalists from across Africa and beyond, which accord them a great opportunity to interact with business stakeholders and participants at the forum.
He equally thanked the Turkish Ambassador to The Gambia, H.E. F. Turker OBA and staff of the Embassy for facilitating the trip.
