Established in 2022, the non-profit organisation has a membership of more than 200 members both in the Diaspora and in The Gambia.
Speaking to The Point, Ida Gaye Joof, Public Relations Officer of Refet Ganitez, said the main objective of the gala is to help their fellow women with funds and also to support the underprivileged in the country.
“We also rendering help to different places like hospital, prisons and also local education centers like ‘Daras’ with items that can help them.” she said.
Joof reminded that despite the support the association is giving, they faced challenges financially in their quest to contribute their quota to support needy people and communities.
Fatoumatta Sanyang, association adviser, called on all to join them in their upcoming gala to help them support women in development.
