PURA receives Authorite de Regulation Maurita Anie delegation

The Gambia Public Utility Regulatory Authority (PURA) on Wednesday received a two-man delegation from Autorité de Regulation-Mauritanie at its Headquarters at Kairaba Avenue.

 

The delegation included MahamAbdallahi, a board member and Zamel Mohamed Mahoud, Head of Networks and Services, visited PURA to learn about the Quality of Service (QoS) system and other regulatory matters.

The visiting delegation expressed delight at the opportunity to visit PURA to enhance their understanding of regulatory-related works and how to improve quality service delivery.

 They also showed gratitude and appreciation to the PURA management for the warm reception accorded to them.

Yusupha M. Jobe, director general of PURA welcomed the delegates and emphasised the existing cordial and long-standing relationship between the two countries.

He encouraged the visiting delegates to feel at home and make the best of their visit. He also assured them of PURA's support and cooperation. “The visit by our sister regulatory authority from Mauritania is part of their study tour in The Gambia aimed to familiarise themselves with quality-of-service standards,” he said.

PURA's mandate and its strategic functions, presentations and site visits were conducted for the Mauritanian delegation to provide insights into the equipment and tools used for maintaining the quality of service standards in the country.
