
Saidy delivered these remarks during a recent presentation of farming equipment to rural farmers in Pacharr village, located in the Central River Region (CRR South).
He emphasised the urgent need for young people to invest in agriculture to foster social development, stating, "The Barrow administration is dedicated to supporting youth, particularly those who pursue careers in farming."
He mentioned that he is collaborating closely with the Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Food Security, along with other ministers, to provide comprehensive support for the youth.
He urged the youth to abandon the perilous journey of irregular migration to Europe and instead focus on contributing to their country's development through agriculture and other impactful sectors. Acknowledging the current trend, he noted that many young individuals are indeed engaging in agriculture, particularly in rice and onion production.
