Philanthropists support Banjulanding orphanage with food items

Philanthropists on Wednesday 23rd March 2022 donated food items worth 3500 dollar to Banjulanding orphanage which currently houses 166 orphanages. 


The donated items included 20 bags of rice, 10 bags of potato, 10 bags of onion, 10 gallons of 20 litter cooking oil, 10 cartons of milk powder, 20 cartons of noodles, 2 cartons of eggs, and 10 boxes of better.

The presentation of materials held at Imam Malick Islamic Center in Banjulanding was an ideal planning from Ambassador at-Large for South East Asia- Tan Sri Dr Aixinjueluo Yuhao and was attended by Special Envoy Agriculture- Dr. Fan and Honorary Consul - Dr. Yap.WH.

Dr Fan in his remarks said his mission is to serve the Gambian people to develop agriculture system, to bring more resource to help Gambian on agriculture, to attract more support to The Gambia to develop Gambian farming and plant more fruit and vege for Gambian people. 

He added that he felt gratified to see the smiles on the face of the children and the management of the school. 

Dr Fan also said that the pandemic influenced Gambia economy, and expressed his willing to continue the gesture in helping more orphans to get at least food.

The honorary consul Dr. Yap WH made similar sentiments adding that he works for everything to boost Gambia economically, socially and progressively.

Abdoulie Jallow, secretary general of the orphanage said the materials will help them a lot especially with their feeding. He added that we are approaching the month of Ramadan and prices for basic commodities are high and therefore thanked donors for their generosity.
