Nianija youth cultural festival held in Chamen

Nianija Youth Association

Nianija Youth Association recently held its cultural festival in Chamen Nianija. The festival brought together different tribes to showcase their culture and rejoice under one umbrella.

The aim of the association is to unite people of Nianija as well as maintain peace and harmony among them.

The association is also established to support the development of Nianija with regards to education, health, agriculture, roads, water and other important development areas to uplift their living standards.                              

Sheikh Oustass Ebrima Dawda, District Chief described the association as very important hence it is established to support the district and contribute to national development.

He called on the association and people of Nianija to be united and stand firm for the betterment of the district.                                      

Hon. Seedy S.K. Njie expressed happiness towards the association, saying the cultural festival is part of national development.

Fatou Jammeh-Touray in deputising for the permanent secretary, Ministry of Agriculture thanked the association for complementing government efforts towards improving agriculture in the Gambia.
