The foundation established in 2006 also presented a cheque of D25,000.00 to Ekung Baba Hunting society.
Saikou Fofana, Director of Public Relations and Operation for VDF said the gesture is part of the foundation’s activities marking the Christian community Christmas festivity.
He added that the annual presentation was a little late this year but they were still pleased they were able to do it.
He on behalf of Mr. Darboe and the foundation, he expressed gratitude to beneficiaries as well as thanked the leadership of the organisation for their foresight.
“Vision Development Foundation has championed the way to which today so many people have joined in doing exactly what we are doing or almost the same thing as what we have been doing as our slogans says let Gambians come together, complement the efforts of each other and complement the efforts of the government in national development” he added.
Mr Fofana explained that Mr. Darboe’s benevolent gesture has impacted the lives and livelihoods of many including communities, road constructions, village gardens, drinking water for communities, hospitals, sponsorship for UTG and Gambia College students among others.
He further said that Mr. Darboe’s slogan of supporting the less privileged in society is: Let’s care and share with those who are unable.
