Niani Dobbo Nasenic Clinic conducts free medical screening in CRR

In a bid to contribute their quota to national development and to improve the country’s healthcare system, Niani Dobbo Nasenic Clinic in the Central River Region recently conducted free medical services to people from various districts in Central River Region.

Held once annually, the event which targeted communities of Sami, Niani and Sandu districts, attracted a large turn-out. The initiative was spearheaded by Niani Dobbo Youth Development Association in collaboration with Gambians in the Diaspora.

It was also graced by the party leader and the secretary general of the United Democratic Party, lawyer Ousainou Darbo and Dr. Lamin J. Ceesay, the former chairman of the Truth Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (T.R.R.C.) and founder of the clinic.

At the event, Darboe thanked and acknowledged the support of doctors especially those who travelled all the way from America to come and freely render their services to Gambians.

Musa Dahaba, deputy Public Relations officer (D.P.R.O.) of the association, in calling on Gambians to come up with such initiatives in the country, also expressed their resolve to continue towards ensuring that the country’s health care system is improved.

The people, who visited the clinic for the medical services, equally expressed similar sentiments.
