He made the remarks during a community engagement facilitated and coordinated by Kanifing Municipality Council (KMC)’s Community Service Unit, Department of Planning and Development, Department of Finance and supported by the Department of Community Development.
The consultations were aimed at ensuring inclusiveness and participatory decision-making process to promote accountability and transparency within the Council in its dealings with communities.
It was also aimed to help ensure citizens participate in the budgetary process of the Council to have a voice on the expenditure of their duties and taxes.
