NACOFAG to host Regional Caravan in Banjul

The National Coordinating Organisation for Farmers Association in The Gambia (NACOFAG), aCivil Society Organization will host a Regional Caravan this month in Banjul, The Gambia according to its National Coordinator Alieu Sowe.

 

He said NACOFAGis expected to host the caravan in The Gambia as a member of the local organizing committee. 

According to Mr. Sowe, the West African Caravan will be organised by the Global Convergence on Land, Water and Seeds which constitute 16 countries on the rights to Land, Water and Peasant Agro-Ecology.

He added that the caravan is carried out by Farmers Organizations (FOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in collaboration with Governments, partners and stakeholders bi-annually.

Mr. Sowe further said that the caravan will be launched in The Gambia on Saturday 20th November 2021at the Governor’s office in Brikama, West Coast Region.

Sowe said the caravan will bring together 175 delegates.
