The Mayor of the Kanifing Municipal Council said: “it is good development for a school to have an assembly hall as it brings unity amongst the students. It is not a gift or a privilege for a school to have a hall but it is a right. This project should be completed by 2024 and we hope to see you all back here to celebrate the launch of the hall.”
Kebba Tamba, the Acting Principal for the school expressed gratitude to the Council, adding that their passion and commitment towards education have played an instrumental role towards the growth of the school.
He added that both staff and students of the school, community will be able to utilize the hall as a platform to nurture their talents and engage in meaningful activities.
“It will also bring an end to the nightmare of sitting arrangement for the conduct of our internal and national examinations. I am confident that the new assembly hall will create endless opportunities for the personal and academic growth of our student fraternity,” he noted.
Mariam Chaw, a representative of the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) said the initiative will complement the ministry’s efforts in achieving quality education in the country.
