Man, 28, solicits support to undergo overseas treatment

One Sheikh Tijan Gaye, a resident of Bundung is seeking assistance to undergo overseas treatment.

The 28-year-old was diagnosed with pain in upper limbs, which make him experience difficulty in walking.

“My house was flooded and my mother is an elderly woman and they all depend on me. So, if we have to survive then I depend on God and for anyone who is willing to support me now.” said Sheikh Tijan Gaye in an interview.

Gaye was presented to the neurosurgery unit of the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) with complaint of difficulty walking with pain in upper limbs, according to the medical report from the EFSTH.

According to him, since the death of his father, his welfare was surely left in the hands of his mother, who is now suffering from unstable health and has very little source of income.

“I had troubled times growing up which made me develop a permanent deformation of my two legs. This has caused me so much pain for four years now, such that I can barely stand and hardly walk normally.”

Meanwhile, Sheikh Tijan Njie has been to several hospitals and tried to use herbal treatment but to no avail.
