The training session drew participants from nearby communities of Nyorro Tukulorr, Nyorro Bamba, Fass and Kerr Maka all in Upper Saloum.
At the event, Alhagie Faal, the initiator, who is also an instructor in taekwando, underscored the importance of the exercise, reminding that the initiative is part of promoting taekwando in rural communities.
He highlighted the importance of skills development especially for youth, saying taekwando is another area youth can learn new marketable skills for their own growth.
He thus called on government, NGOs and other donors to support him in his quest to build a standard taekwando training center, with equipment to enable the development of this beautiful sport in rural communities.
