In an exclusive interview with The Point, the former president of The Gambia Press Union (GPU) underscored the significance of publishing the book, while urging reporters to always stick to the facts in their reporting, saying: “Journalism is one of the noblest professions, thus reporters must adhere to the ethic of the profession.”
“We must make sure whatever we are about to publish is cross-checked and verified before publishing. Because once it is gone, it is gone. Nobody can retrieve it again,” he cautioned.
Honorable Ceesay's 147-page book, ‘Journalism: Is it a Curse or a Blessing,' depicts his life as a journalist, narrating the horrendous treatment the Jammeh regime subjected him to and also his achievements at that time, which marked the peak of his career.
