Miss Njie spoke highly of the abundant skills manifested by students during the Quranic Competition, which she said, featured students from various Daras and was staged to deepen their knowledge in reciting the Holy Qur’an.

She urged parents and elders to support the young people especially those who develop keen interest in learning their religion, further emphasizing the critical role of education and inculcating moral values.

"We are a committed youth group in the Greater Banjul Area notably from Banjul South (Half-Die) as the name implies - “Jigeeni Half-Die United." she emphasised.

Mr. Lamin Gaye, who was adopted as father by the group, described the event as a powerful reminder that they are all part of one community.

“We must work together to overcome challenges and build a brighter future for our children.”
