Jarumeh Koto school celebrates academic excellence at graduation ceremony

Jarumeh Koto Upper Basic and Senior Secondary School, located in the Central River Region North, held its graduation ceremony on 19 July 2025, honouring the achievements of its outgoing students in a celebration marked by pride and reflection.

The event, hosted at the school grounds, brought together students, parents, community members, and dignitaries to celebrate the result of years of hard work and academic dedication.

The occasion was graced by prominent government officials, including Mr Ousman Bah, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE); Honourable Lamin Jabbie, Minister for Communication and Digital Economy Affairs; Mr Jagne, Principal Education Officer for Regional Education Directorate Five (North); and Mr Edrisa Camara, Cluster Monitor for Jarumeh Koto.

Principal Kebba Susso warmly welcomed invited guests and commended the graduating students for their commitment, perseverance and outstanding performance throughout their studies.

“This ceremony celebrates not only the academic success of our students but also the shared efforts of our community, government representatives and education leaders in promoting quality learning in our region,” Mr Susso stated.

Both Honourable Minister Jabbie and Deputy Secretary Bah addressed the graduates in uplifting speeches, urging them to pursue further education and become responsible, engaged citizens. Their messages underscored the importance of personal growth, national development and lifelong learning.

The ceremony featured a rich cultural showcase, including traditional performances that reflected the heritage of the region. Students delivered heartfelt speeches capturing their educational journey, aspirations and gratitude.
