IsDB is one of the key partners financing the University of The Gambia project in (UTG) Faraba Banta, where an up-to-the-minute university campus is being built and is currently near completion.
In attendance were project stakeholders such as the contractor, Shapoorji Pallonji, consultant and the project coordinating unit of the education sector.
Also, the visit was to assess ongoing projects and the level of implementation, as well as to discuss crucial matters of concern so as to support the country's higher education sector. .
During the visit, Prof. Gomez reminded that Lot. 1 of the project must be delivered by September for the UTG to move to Faraba Banta campus.
"The non-completion of Lot. 1 is non-negotiable." he cautioned.
Speaking about IsDB’s visit to the project site in Faraba, Mr Shapoorji Pallonji revered that the delegation was impressed with the level of progress made thus far and assured that they would work towards ensuring timely delivery of the project by September 2023.
