This disclosure was made at a media briefing ahead of the forthcoming grand book launch, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday 26th January 2025 at B.O Samega Janneh Hall at Buffer Zone.
This forthcoming book launch marks the 36 editions of collections of books he has authored so far.
At the event, Dr. Drammeh disclosed that all the previous books were launched as is this latest book that is about to be launched.
He thanked spoke highly of the book and the impact it will have in ‘our today’s society’, noting that the feedback that he’s getting from the readers is enormous.
The book, he added, contains a lot of exciting and interesting knowledge that helps in improving readers experience, knowledges and skills.
In essence, this book seeks to instill moral and cultural values among people especially the younger generation.
In this light, he emphasised the importance of education, moral values and skills, acknowledging that school children are usually taught a lot especially on ways to respect elders and leaders and inculcating good behavior among other best practices.
Dr. Drammeh spoke extensively about the relevance of his previous publications on society, adding that the ultimate objective of this book is to see how best to encourage people towards embracing ‘our rich culture and traditions.’
‘We all know that education without moral is not attainable, because when you define by competency, they will tell you about knowledge, skills and attitudes. So, moral plays a fundamental aspect starting from home to the schools.’
He underscored the need for home training as it is ‘very key’ and this, he believes would help them to become good future leaders.
The Gambian author also spoke about the dwindling culture of reading in the country especially among the younger generation, further urging all to grab a copy and make the best use of the knowledge therein.
He cited that knowing one’s culture is of paramount importance, further highlighting the need to embrace ‘our rich culture and tradition.’
