As part of the Regional Tour with The Ultimate Mentorship Association (TUMA), Inspector Landing Camara of the Gambia Immigration Department (GID) conducted a School Lead Training on Migration and Documentation Laws.

The session engaged 50 students from Sami Karantaba Upper and Senior Secondary School, focusing on the fundamentals of citizenship, nationality, and legal documentation.

This interactive session aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the GID’s role in regulating migration and promoting lawful mobility. It also provided an opportunity for students to ask questions and gain firsthand insights into issues surrounding identity, migration, and national development.

The initiative formed part of the Department’s broader community outreach efforts. During his presentation, Inspector Camara emphasised the importance of proper documentation, compliance with migration laws, and the role of young people as ambassadors against irregular migration within their communities.

The GID remains committed to enhancing public awareness, fostering trust, and building meaningful partnerships with schools and communities across the country.
