The initiative supported by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), was aimed at empowering women to take on leadership roles and enhance their decision-making skills.
In her closing remarks, Fatoumata Jawara Dukureh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MAA Foundation for Women, expressed delight with the successful conduct of the event.
She commended Her Excellency, First Lady Fatoumata Bah-Barrow for her dedication and finding time to join them at the closing ceremony.
She equally acknowledged the support rendered by the Cancer Unit at the Ministry of Health of The Gambia and for conducting screening during the confab, saying the initiative exemplifies the multi-facted spirit of women in addressing leadership and health simultaneously.
MAA Foundation for Women CEO also expressed gratitude to all their donors and partners including the Gender Ministry and UNDP the Gambia for sponsoring the initiative.
“Together we are not just supporting women but empowering nations. The diversity and energy from all the participants, signals the vibrations students filled with hope for brighter future.”
Certificates were awarded to the participants at the end of the training.
