Gambia Holds 2nd National Women’s Leadership Confab

Earlier this week, Smile Media witnessed the recently concluded second National Women’s Leadership Conference, a transformative event dedicated to amplifying women’s voices in leadership and governance.

Smile Media’s CEO Rohey Konateh proudly moderated the two-day conference, ensuring dynamic conversations, meaningful engagement, and impactful outcomes. It was truly inspiring to witness the power of collaboration, the strength of solidarity, and the unwavering determination of women leaders who are shaping the future of Gambia communities and beyond, she said.

This was made possible through collaborative efforts; Ministry of Gender Children and Social Welfare, with funding from the Peace Building Fund through UN sister agencies @UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF and coordinated by MAA Foundation for Women.

This covergence by amazing women and youth who attended and contributed - their participation and ownership of this space highlight the resilience and transformative power of women’s leadership.
