The AGM accorded officials the opportunity to report to the General Assembly some of the achievement as well as challenges faced in their programmes and projects during the year under review.
Besides, the Federation in the past has made gigantic strides in transforming the socio-economic wellbeing of children and families in the Fonis by providing them with timely and cost-effective financial aid.
Welcoming the gathering, Edi Bah, General Manager of Foni Ding Ding Federation, dwelled on the crucial role the federation plays in enhancing the well-being and protection of the children.
He revealed that lots of resources have been spent in various ways from the homes, schools and communities.
"The Federation will continue to provide learning materials in the form of both exercise books, study lamps, school bags and payments of tuition fee."
The Federation, he added, has immensely contributed to the fight against climate change by collaborating with other relevant partners in planting different trees of different species at well protected community forests.
"To clearly understand how the initiative is working, the Federation did an interesting and educative video documentary of the My tree, my sponsor."
Bah while urging the people of Foni to plant more trees, equally called on communities do away with felling of trees as the impact of climate change is affecting lives and livelihood.
Adama Jallow from NGO Affairs Agency, said the Federation has been contributing immensely towards the growth and development of children within Foni and to help combat Climate Change in Fonis, as one of the vulnerable communities when it comes to deforestation.
Samba Keita, a representative of the Country Director Child Fund, explained that Child Fund is committed to working with reputable institutions like the FDDF all towards improving the wellbeing of children in the country.
