The donation ceremony was held at ChildFund Office in Kanifing.
MusuKuta Komma, Country Director for ChildFund, The Gambia said they operate to promote the well-being of children and their families living in deprivation and vulnerability.
She said the textbooks are meant to support the Government in providing free and quality education to all children.
She stated that Books for Africa has made tremendous progress in its mission by donating books to African countries.
Lamin Fatajo, a representative of Regional Director Region 2 thanked ChildFund, The Gambia for the donation and assured them that the books will be put into good use for the well-being of students and the country at large.
