The occasion also witnessed the opening of Tropic Shopping Center at Senegambia.
Construct Limited has been serving the nation in investment and construction of several monuments from 17th December 1991 to date.
Fara Shams, Founder and Chief Executive Officer Construct Limited welcomed and thanked everyone who graced the occasion.
Ahmed Talib Bensouda, Mayor of Kanifing Municipality Council (KMC) hailed Construct Limited for its giant strides over the past three decades.
Mayor Bensouda also commended them for their ability to deliver quality projects as well as enhancing the productivity of Gambia’s construction sector.
He stated that the construction sector is one the pillars of his municipality’s economy, noting that this is because Construct Limited employs many within the municipality.
He further hailed the company for always being available to their customers.
Amat Bah, Minister of Tourism and Culture said:”Development is not only about construction of road facilities but also the welfare of people.”
He thanked Mr Shams for his continuous contribution to the development of the nationparticularly the tourism sector.
“We are grateful for your investment in the country and opening of a shopping center for Gambians to shop locally,” he also said.
Minster Bah urged investors to invest in leisure facilities for the welfare of people but also venture into other areas that will promote good tourism in The Gambia.
Seena Shams, son to the founder of the company said their aim is to provide services that are next to none for all their customers, contribute to creating employment for Gambians as well as creative solutions to meet the increasing demand of the modern century.
He said since his family moved to The Gambia in 1991, the hospitality from Gambian people captured their hearts.
“We believe in The Gambia and will continue to invest economically and politically,he concluded.
