Champion to launch first-ever poetry album

One of the country’s prolific and fast rising poets, Omar Cham better known by his sobriquet Champion is set to launch his first-ever poetry album titled “Before The Win”.

The youngster quickly shot to fame by inspiring a generation, thanks to his inspirational and captivating poetry flow. The masterpiece which will feature collections of captivating spoken words will be launched on Saturday 12th March 2022 at Pencha Mi Hall.

The event will witness the launch of 25 spoken words poems, amazing poetry and music performances, alongside some stage magic that will entice every lover of the Art.

In an interview with The Point, Champion said he deemed it befitting to motivate people on the need to take the path to be successful irrespective of their challenges.

This, he added, is manifested through the encapsulation of his story, people and that of the country with a meeting point of how they all commutatively affect national development.

Other amazing poets, comedians and top Gambian artistes will mount the stage as well and give the required artistic shots to the audience.

The mega expectation on this big day is a full hall as poetry and Art lovers all over are anticipating the day.
“Aside, there will be extraordinary performances that have never been witnessed in the history of Gambian Art. It is a day that no one can afford to miss.” he stated.
