The foundation over the years has been actively focused on improving the lives of Persons with Disabilities and needy communities in various parts of The Gambia.
Krish Roopnarine, a Canadian citizen, who is also the foundation’s main sponsor, is committed to giving back to the society by extending timely support to all and sundry, especially the under privileged.
In an interview with The Point shortly after receiving the Bus, Hagie Gai Drammeh, founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Hagie Gai Drammeh Foundation for the Physically Challenged, expressed delight with the development, acknowledging that the new bus fleet would be used to support the Foundation’s transportation constraints and generate funds for the foundation’s future projects.
Moreover, the foundation in recent years is known for its passion to uplifting the living standard of people with disabilities across the Gambia, especially in rural communities, where their impact has been greatly felt so far.
Meanwhile, the Canadian patron and his family joined the list of prominent sponsors, who have been identified for their tremendous work aimed at improving the lives and livelihoods of the physically-challenged in various communities across the country.
