Sheikh Imam Qadi Abdullah Kanteh made this observation regarding the development taking shape at the said mosque, as he joined a congregation during Zuhr prayer at the mosque last week.
Therefore, the renovation exercise, which include fixing of the outdated toilet and installing a brand-new Air Condition (AC) inside the mosque, has remarkably changed the shape of this place of worship.
He described the benefactor (Isatou Sallah) as the most beloved of Allah’s creation and adding that Madam Sallah is someone who is devoting herself to seek Allah’s love and blessings.
Thus, Imam Kanteh made reference to her exemplary role and said that it demonstrates the best example of how Muslims should live their daily lives.
She hailed the donor for her exemplary life and perfect character and thus appealed to the Muslim Ummah especially those at the quadrangle in Banjul to emulate Madam Sallah for her good deed.
“There is no difference between women and men as both are promised the same reward from Allah the Almighty whether good or evil conducts. Madam Sallah’s renovation aims to preserve the mosque and if completed, will give new look for the mosque structure,” Imam Kanteh explained.
According to him, whoever takes care of the sustainability of the mosque for the sake of Allah, the Almighty–Allah, will build for him/her a house in Paradise.
This support rendered by Madam Sallah, he observed would go a long way in ensuring the safety and comfort of worshippers at the mosque.
He thus appealed to the Muslim Ummah especially senior civil servants and those who have the means to invest in Islam for sake of Allah.
