Created in 1989 and placed under the responsibility of the Center for Analysis, Forecasting and Strategy (CAPS) of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, this invitation programme for Future Personalities (PIPA) offers future leaders from around the world of politics or civil society, the opportunity to get fully funded stay in France and to hold high-level meetings related to their activities.
As part of series of his engagements in France, Mayor Bensounda was invited to the French Ministry Foreign Affairs, DGCL (Directorate General for Local Authorities) at the French Ministry of Interior, Directorate of Globalization, Paris City Council, IRIS (Institute for International and Strategic Relations, Syctom and CiTeo, where he held series of strategic meetings. That opportunity, exposed him to in-depth outlook on opportunities for possible collaboration and partnership between French institutions and the KMC.
The highlight of his meetings also included a visit to the Senate (Se’nat) where he had a one-on-one with the Vice President of the Commission of Regional Planning and sustainable Development Senator Mme Marta de CiDRAC, a rare opportunity to witness a live senate session.
Activities continue tomorrow in Bordeaux where he plans to build critical partnerships for the KMC.
