Banjul North MP presents 150 Ramadan food packages to Tobacco Road residents

As part of efforts geared towards giving back to his community, Modou Lamin B. Bah, National Assembly Member for Banjul North, on Saturday 7th March 2026 distributed 150 food packages to various beneficiaries on Tobacco Road in the Banjul North Constituency.

The event held at the Tobacco Road Central Mosque, attracted a cross-section of the community with beneficiaries going home with bags of 25 kg rice and 10 kg sugar.

The presentation, coordinated by the Office of National Assembly Member of Banjul North, Modou Lamin Bah in partnership with Vision Development Foundation, was designed to put smiles on the faces of needy households especially in this holy Month of Ramadan.

This year’s initiative is the second of its kind since the Banjul lawmaker’s initiative with the activity basically to show compassion and give back to his community.

In an interview with The Point, Hon. Modou Lamin B. Bah described the initiative as a significant initiative in giving back to his community, especially in the Holy month of Ramadan.

"This incredible act of generosity shows the true spirit of compassion and empathy that defines us. I am grateful to have made a difference in the lives of others. May Allah (SWT) bless everyone involved and reward their kindness."

To those who received support, he expressed optimism that the gesture brings them comfort and reminded all about the power of community.
