The project has already completed its first and second editions, benefiting seven youth entrepreneurs in various independently run ventures and generating over two million dalasis.
Overall, the project seeks to provide a platform for young people with business ideas to enhance their capital. This financial support will be fully funded by TTF.
At the launch, Baba Baldeh stated that the TTF third edition focuses on expanding its reach into jobs and higher education, with a focus on technical vocational education, agribusiness ventures, and environmental protection, aligning with the country’s efforts to position the skilled sector at the centre of economic growth.
“The TFF round 3 plans to raise funds for youth entrepreneurs, monitor the progress of funded start-ups, and assess the overall impact of the project. This television trade fair is sponsored by APS Financial Services, the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment, as well as the Ministry of Higher Education and National Enterprise Development Initiatives (NEDI) – all working directly to strengthen socio-economic development in The Gambia.”
Additionally, Baldeh revealed that the TTF Round 3 also plans to bring attention to economic growth through televised challenges, culminating in a season finale highlighting breakthroughs in Gambian entrepreneurship.
