A total of twenty-five (25) officers, recently promoted to ranks ranging from Sergeant to Assistant Superintendent of Police, were formally decorated in the presence of senior police officials, family members, and well-wishers.
Representing the Inspector General of Police, the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Operations, AIG Pateh Jallow, congratulated the officers and reminded them that elevation in rank comes with increased responsibility, higher leadership expectations, and greater accountability to the public. He urged them to uphold discipline, integrity, and operational efficiency in the discharge of their duties.
The Gambia Police Force encourages all officers to emulate the dedication, professionalism, and commitment demonstrated by the newly promoted personnel. The Anti-Crime Command further commends the Police Leadership for its continued emphasis on merit-based promotion, a practice that remains essential for motivation, institutional discipline, and strengthening public confidence in the Police.
