In July 2023, the family home was devastated by torrential rain. AGA, through the Hidden Truth Family, raised a sum of £450 to help the family in returning to at least a basic standard of living.
Omar Saidy thanked AGA and Hidden Truth Family and community members for their generosity and prayed that God continues to bless them.
He recalled that it all started when Kebba Banja, AGA Gambia Team President, visited the family in Bafuloto.
Jarra Colley, Omar's mother, stated that since the unfortunate incident, they had sought refuge with their neighbours. She added that the windstorm destroyed their roof, while the rain destroyed most of their belongings and food stuffs.
AGA is a household name in providing assistance to Gambian communities in times of need.
The UK/Gambia Registered Charity has previously donated food, cash, and reusable items to Gambians. AGA's humanitarian action is always done for the benefit of the community.
Throughout the years, AGA UK/Gambia has given Gambian families sacks of rice, cooking oil, onions, and Iftar bread during the holy months of Ramadan. They also provided clothing, household items and toiletries to communities and individuals in the most need including persons with disabilities.
AGA is a group of dedicated volunteers from the UK and The Gambia who provided food to the public who were unable to work and feed their families during the Covid-19 pandemic's isolation.
