The accused was charged with stealing by clerk or servants contrary to section 258 of the Criminal code.
The particulars of offence revealed that I. Sarjo in 2021 at Latri Kunda German, in the Kanifing municipality in her capacity as a staff of Universal Security LTD stole D198,274.00.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the offence charged.
Prosecuting officer, Nuha Bojang, who appeared for the IGP, applied for an adjournment to call his first witness.
The accused was subsequently granted bail in the sum of D250,000 with sureties who will deposit their valid ID card or passport with a detailed address.
The presiding magistrate further ordered the accused to deposit her ID and passport with the court registrar and must report to Brikama Police Station every Monday, failure of which her bail shall be revoked.
The matter was adjourned until 17 April 2024.
