Top UN officials including UNDP regional director for Africa to visit Gambia

17 November 2022 – BANJUL: UN Assistant Secretary General, UNDP Assistant Administrator and Regional Director for Africa, MS. AHUNNA EZIAKONWA, will visit The Gambia from 20 to 23 November 2022.The visit presents an opportunity to interact with key partners on UNDP Renewed Strategic Vision in Africa including its youth and women dividends, the UN Sahel programme, sustainable energy, climate change, and innovative development financing for green economy, among others.

On Monday 21 November, MS. EZIAKONWA,will meet the President of The Gambia, H.E. Mr. Adama Barrow. During her visit, she will also meet the United Nations Country Team in The Gambia, SeniorGovernment officials, Civil Society including women and Youth Groups, Private Sector, Academiaand UNDP personnel etc. Ms. Eziakonwa will jointly tour project sites and UNDP intervention areas with key partners.
