The suspect, at the time of going to press was still at large as security personnel continued their manhunt. The circumstances leading to the stabbing was not clear to The Point.
Cadet ASP Binta Njie, the spokesperson of The Gambia Police Force (GPF), who was contacted for comments confirmed the development, saying: "The suspect is currently at large. However, the security personnel are doing everything possible to have him arrested and brought to justice."
Meanwhile, the GPF PRO also disclosed that the suspect arrested in the alleged murder case at the Friendship Hostel in Bakau on Wednesday is currently helping the police with their investigations.
