
Cheikh Bamba Dieye, Managing Director of Dakar International Airport Blaise Diagne has announced that 514 employees will be also retrenched these days.
700 workers of Dakar ports were retrenched last January by the MD Wally Diouf Bodian.
Meanwhile the Senegalese government has enacted a law for Senegalese who committed crimes in Morocco to be extradited including ex-president, Macky Sall whose previous government was accused of fraud and mismanagement of government funds, illicit enrichment, financial dealings reported by the court of auditors.
An anti corruption commission has been set up to probe financial dealings of ex-president Sall and his former ministers. His son Amadou Sall is being investigated by the authorities for his alleged involvement in financial dealing by enriching himself.
Senegal-Morocco accord
The Council of Ministers of January 22, chaired by the Head of State, had already examined and adopted a draft decree authorizing the ratification of this agreement. This agreement aims to improve the care of citizens of the two countries in a situation of detention by facilitating their transfer to their country of origin to serve their sentence.
This initiative is part of a broader dynamic of strengthening bilateral relations between Dakar and Rabat, especially in the field of justice and human rights. It also testifies to the will of the two states to ensure better protection of the rights of prisoners while facilitating their social reintegration.
