Senegal inaugurates new stadium today

Diamnadio Stadium, the newly built stadium in Senegal will be inaugurated by President Macky Sall at a ceremony today.

The inauguration will be attended by former Senegalese president Abdulaye Wade.

Gambian president, Adama Barrow will also travel to witness the event, according to press release from State House.

The German Chancellor, the presidents of Rwanda, Liberia, Turkey and Guinea Bissau are all expected to grace the occasion.

The world of sports will be well represented by the FIFA President, the CAF President and other sports conferences.

SEM Macky SALL will kick off the inaugural gala match that will involve former Senegal internationals (Elhadji Diouf, Fadiga, Lacotte, Roger Mendy) to a selection of ancient African internationals such as Samuel Eto’o, Okocha, Boua Lia, Kufuor, Yaya Tourè etc.

The cultural side will be assured by Youssou Ndour, Waly Seck among other artistes.

Transport will be provided by TER and DDD.
