Strong opposition leader Ousman Sonko has been in jail since July last year.

Meanwhile Serign Babacar Sy Mansour, Caliph General of the Tijaniyya, appeals and prays for peace in Senegal. He also urges President Sall and all stakeholders for a dialogue to attain or reach  a lasting peace in the country.
