Mr Saine, a one-time media officer of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), left this morning for the AFCON finals at the invitation of the National Association of Media and Publishers ( ANME).
The invitation is also part of the ANME's desire to allow the international press to closely follow “this great African football festival and to highlight Morocco's commitment” to the promotion of African sport.
Mr Saine, who has covered 16 Africa Cup of Nations and 3 World Cups, will witness the semifinals and finals of this 35th Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where he is expected to share his experience with media sports colleagues on African football.
It would be recalled that the Moroccan Football Federation, which hosted for the first time the Africa Cup of Nations in 1988, crowned Mr Sainethat year with an award for his performance in a quiz competition on African football.
