Pastor dragged to court for alleged breach of contract

Jae Dong Yoo, a pastor and a resident of Bonto village in the West Coast Region (WCR) on Monday appeared before Magistrate Sambou of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court for a breach of contract. 

In his testimony on Monday, the plaintiff Amadou Jawo who is a teacher by profession and a resident of Jenu Kunda, alleged that the defendant Jae Dong Yoo possessed half of his piece of Land located in Kitty village, Kombo Central West Coast Region with the land dimensions of 110m square by 100m square. 

Amadou Jawo further claimed that he jointly purchased a piece of land with defendant. However, he said, the defendant (Jae Dong Yoo) “decided to remove my name from the land document without my knowledge.”

The plaintiff also revealed that the pastor owes him D120,000.00 as he worked with him for two years without pay. 

He therefore urged the defendant to pay him D50, 000.00 for the breach of contract.

The case has been adjourned to 21 November 2024 for continuation.
