We inform the public that according to article 3d of the aforementioned Memorandum of Understanding: "The signatory Ministerial Department of The Gambia will carry out a system of pre-selection of candidates under the control of the public authority and that responds to the principles of equal opportunities and free of charge, through the Network of Employment Services present throughout the territory."
Specifically, the Public Employment Service Unit is the public institution that will carry out the pre- selection. The final selection will be directly carried out by the Spanish employer, together with the Spanish-Gambian authorities.
Therefore, the Diplomatic Antenna of Spain informs that:
- Private agencies are NOT entitled to recruit any workers for the Spanish circular migration programme.
- The selection process has NOT yet started.
- The requirements and process to participate in this programme will be announced in due time, through official channels.
The Diplomatic Antenna of Spain strongly advises the public not to engage any private recruitment agencies for participating in the circular migration agreement, and not to pay any fees to them for this purpose. The collection of money by any agencies for this purpose is illegal.
