Speaking at the ceremony, NDP leader Kebba Madi Bojang said the current situation in the country demands leadership characterised by determination and commitment to addressing the challenges facing the nation.
He noted that the partnership would deepen cooperation between the two groups and contribute to the democratic process as the country moves towards future elections.
For his part, NAFAA leader Ousainou Allen said the agreement emerged from a series of productive discussions between the leadership and representatives of both organisations.
According to Allen, those engagements enabled the two sides to identify areas of common interest and shared aspirations, ultimately paving the way for the political partnership.
He described the agreement as a reflection of the mutual understanding reached by both groups and expressed optimism that the cooperation would continue to grow in the interest of national development.
The signing comes at a time when political parties and movements across The Gambia are increasingly engaging in consultations and exploring strategic partnerships as the country's political landscape continues to evolve.
