The brief but impactful ceremony took place at Mr Jaiteh’s residence, where He was honoured for his continued efforts in assisting vulnerable families in the Lower River Region.
His recent donation included 14 bales of clothing consisting of adult and children's wear, along with bed sheets distributed mainly to those affected by recent fire outbreaks.
While accepting the certificate, Mr. Jaiteh expressed deep gratitude to the Area Council for recognising his contributions and for providing him with the platform to deliver much needed assistance to the community.
"I’m doing this not to show up, but because helping others is a personal calling," he said. "Supporting the vulnerable, especially during times of crisis, is something I deeply believe in."
Chairman Landing Sanneh praised Mr. Jaiteh’s generosity, describing him as a beacon of community service and calling on others to emulate his humanitarian spirit.
The event highlights the importance of public private collaboration in addressing social challenges and supporting disaster victims in rural communities.
