Both accused persons have been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm. They are currently detained at the Njaw police station as investigation into the matter continues.
Our source in the CRR who was contacted for comments have confirmed the development, saying: "I can confirm to you that both three people involved have been arrested and are currently detained by police at Njaw."
"Contrary to reports going on social media, it’s not true that Faraba was released. In fact, it was Faraba that reported himself to the Njaw Police Station," our added.
According to our source, the land dispute was ignited by two conflicting judgements in favour of both parties – first judgement being passed on 28 May 2024 in favour of Faraba Jallow and the other was 7 June 2024 in favour of Samba Jallow.
