The Lord Mayor of Kanifing Municipal Council, Talib Ahmed Bensouda, has inspected the ongoing construction of a state-of-the-art assembly hall at Charles Jow Memorial Academy.
The project, fully funded by KMC, will accommodate 1,200 students and is expected to be completed before the next academic year; September 2025.

During his visit, Mayor Bensouda expressed satisfaction with the project's progress, praising the quality of work and magnitude of the development.

The assembly hall project is a fulfillment of a promise made by Mayor Bensouda three years ago, when he attended the school's graduation ceremony. The school's principal and board chairman had requested support for an assembly hall due to space constraints for examinations, assemblies, and events.

Construction began 18 months ago, and the mayor's visit showcased significant progress.

The new assembly hall will enhance the learning environment and provide students with a modern facility for various activities.

Mayor Bensouda's commitment to improving education infrastructure in Kanifing Municipality has been evident through projects like this, benefiting schools and students in the area.
