The Public Prosecutor at the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court, Saliou Dicko, 0n Tuesday quickly initiated proceedings in the case against Cheikh Ahmadou Tidiane Diallo, known as Pape Cheikh Diallo, the artist Djiby Dramé, and several others.
Following their arraignment, the prosecutor's office issued a preliminary indictment expanding the initial charges.
In addition to the offences that led to the initiation of the proceedings, the prosecutor also included the charge of money laundering. This charge is now among those being examined as part of the judicial investigation.
The prosecution also requested that all individuals named in the case be remanded in custody: Pape Salif Rall Thiam, Ibrahima Camara, Adama Diallo, Mansour Bassirou Baldé, Mamadou Gning, Sana Ba, Bachir Ka, Bekaye Faye, Djiby Dramé, Bekaye Ndiaye, Doudou Lamine Dieng, and Cheikh Ahmadou Tidiane Diallo, also known as Pape Cheikh Diallo.
During the preliminary investigation, the charges were based on conspiracy, sodomy with intentional transmission of HIV/AIDS through unprotected sex, and endangering the lives of others.
Following their appearance before the investigating magistrate of the first chamber, the magistrate fully accepted the prosecutor's recommendations. The investigating judge thus remanded all the accused in custody and opened a judicial inquiry.
