The award was received by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jah Oil Company, Hamidou Jah at the 4th Edition of Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) Taxpayers’ Award Ceremony.
The event, which was presided over by His Excellency, Mr. Adama Barrow was held at the Kairaba Beach Hotel.
The award was described by Momodou Hydara, manager of Jah Oil Company as a big achievement for the management of Jah Oil Company.
During an interview at his office at Bafuloto, Mr. Hydara said that the CEO of Jah Oil Company, Hamidou Jah has been embarking on a lot of development projects with the aim to contribute his quota to national development and reduce unemployment in this country.
He disclosed that 95% of its workforce is Gambian.
“Jah Oil Company is also into selling building materials, petrol gas, fuels, and cement among others at reasonable and affordable prices for average Gambians.”
Regarding the recent award, Mr. Hydara, on behalf of staff and management of Jah Oil Company expressed delight and appreciation for the recognition from the GRA.
According to him, the award shows that the government has recognised their immense contribution to nation building and also shows that Jah Oil Company matters in national development of The Gambia.
“Jah Oil Company received this award with humbleness and pride.”
“We acknowledge and appreciate the award from the government through the Gambia Revenue Authority and will encourage Jah Oil to continue to maintain its tax obligation.”
“We are one big team and we have various players and every player is committed to ensure customer satisfaction.”
He said this is what prompted Jah Oil Management to meet every month and discuss challenges, loopholes and map out the way forward to ensure customer satisfaction.
He also commended all those that appreciate Jah Oil services and promised Jah Oil’s readiness to give quality and affordable services to its esteemed customers.
