RE: DISCLAIMER OF FALSE AND MISLEADING STATEMENT
The Ministry of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services wishes to inform the general public that the document currently circulating on social media, dated Monday 16th February 2026 and titled “Final Draft Statement,” is false, misleading, and did not originate from the Ministry.
The Ministry has not issued such a statement, nor has it authorized any person or entity to publish or circulate the said document on its behalf.
Members of the public, media houses, and stakeholders are therefore advised to treat the circulating document as fake information and disregard its contents entirely.
The Ministry further urges the public to always verify official communications through its recognized and verified platforms before sharing or acting upon any information purported to be from the Government.
